Description

Morushima, or mole island in Japanese is a fairly large island on the earth during the Xenocene. It is shown here: :thumb645451309:. It is the fairly large skinny red island off of the east side of Asia. It used to be part of japan. It is mostly inhabited by the descendants of two forms of Japanese moles, the Sado Mole evolving into most herbivorous forms and the Small Japanese Mole evolves nto most of the carnivorous and insectivorous forms. The island is also inhabited by turtles, birds, insects, and predator rats.

Creature on tree: Evolving from the Sado Mole, the Lazy Treefang is an herbivorous arboreal mole. It uses it's large ears to listen for incoming predators and is camouflaged against the island's most prolific tree, the Gnarly Cherry Tree. It uses it's fangs to pierce the cherries and suck out the juice. It is 4 feet long.

Creature with long neck near tree:Closely related to the Lazy Treefang, the Girrafe-necked Fruitsucker uses it's long neck to reach low hanging fruit. It also has large ears and good hearing, but prefers to run from predators rather than hide. It is 3 feet tall.

Blind underground creature: The Blunt-Nosed Wormer is an insectivore. It has extremely sensitive pores and will gobble up anything that fits in it's mouth. Its claws have fused together into a single shovel-like extension. It can power it's arms at great speed to "swim" through the dirt.It is 3 feet long.

Blind underground creature with tentacles: Much like the Blunt-Nosed Wormer, its skin is extremely sensitive. However the protrusions from the end of its snout are evn more sensitive. The Tentacled Gorund Shark senses movement from the surface and "swims" up to attach to the underbelly of prey. It is 4 feet long with its tentacles extended.

Large baby-ish looking bipedal creature: An herbivorous species of mole evolving from the Sado Mole, the Vegetation Feaster is a common animal. Living solitary or in small groups, they have a voracious appetite, and will eat nearly anything. They are the main prey for many of the island's predators, and there only defense is fast reproduction and running.

Rats that are hunting the Vegetation Feaster: This is actually an example of sexual dimorphism In the Bristleback Stalker, evolved form rats, the females are much larger. They hunt alone until they find a male, and then they mate for life. the males, looking almost exactly like the babies, distract the herbivores. The herbivores only remember that babies can grow up to be large mothers, which are a huge threat, and try to eliminate that threat. While they are focused on the male, the female sneaks up behind and lunges, killing the animal.
